What is language?
According to Oxford Dictionary (2017), language is:
the method of human communication, either spoken or
written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional
way.
How is media language being configured?
Media language is configured, restructured both by personal and societal efforts. On the micro-scale, we alter the language we use simply by adapting or evolving. These changes accumulate to form a collective language reconfiguration. It is then language becomes restructured by a societal effort.
Who are consumers and producers of media?
Who isn't a consumer and producer of media these days?
Government Scenario
A local government official was charged of graft and corruption and was suspended from his office. The government official announced that the charges were all fabricated and that he will not step down from his office. A large group of supporters are present to protest. They barricaded the building where the official has once taken office. A struggle seems to start breaking out between the protesters and the police.

If you will be a reporter, are you going to use the conventional way of how the each media will broadcast the given scenario?
To be honest, yes. I would use the conventional way to broadcast a given scenario. By conventional, I mean the practices involved in reporting a news. Straying away from norm when it comes to reporting may subvert my credibility, and that of my news agency's.
What will you do to not make your report boring? Elaborate your answer
Despite following conventions, I can still spice up my report. I can excite my news report by using modern trends: hashtags, Reddit and Disqus posts, emojis.
Would you exaggerate some elements in your report to make it interesting? Why?
I aim to be an ethical journalist, if I ever I am to be one. Exaggerating details is unethical. I can highlight details, choose interesting angles. Blowing something up, however, is way out of my league.

The most influential person in my life is I. An ode to self care. wearing green shades and tryna look cool #selfie WHO: I realized that I am the most influential person in my life. I dictate where I lead my life. My influences, though eclectic and multiple, are products of my growing self-consciousness and self-awareness. WHAT: I grow. This is what I did to influence myself. I nurture myself, and nurture myself too in the light of others. WHEN: Though I do not yet have a cohesive view as to who I am, I would say that I discovered a great part of me just recently, as I entered the hazy daydream-turned-nightmare world that is adolescence. WHY: It dawned to me that I must give myself credit where credit is due. This is statement is my ode to self care. HOW: I influence myself in everything I do and think about. From the way I eat to the people I talk too, I am constantly in a self-discourse as to what path I should take. ___________________________________________...
"Language is a source of misunderstanding." McLuhan, 1964 We bridge gaps with the communicative ability of language; however, there are times when language becomes an impediment to our connectivity, when the words, the signs and the symbols we use bring us further apart. Take for an example the case of language barriers. The difference in the words used results in misinterpretation. Here, we do not rely on language. Rather, we communicate through shared culture. Does the user’s/audience’s own background or experience affect the interpretation of messages? How? I believe that we take everything in subjectively; there is no 100% objective view on things. We make interpretations based on the breadth of our knowledge, our capacity, and culture. Is it possible that a different individual derives a different meaning from the message? Explain. We see this all the time. At times, it could be misinterpretation. Most of the time, however, instances such as these are based o...
